Dimma Muhammed Mawejje is a social entrepreneur driven by a passion for sustainability and community empowerment. With a background in Business Development and Social Entrepreneurship, coupled with a strong foundation in culinary arts, Mawejje possesses a unique blend of skillset. This foundation has been instrumental in his ability to manage Mawejje Creations effectively, overseeing everything from material sourcing and production to training and community engagement.

While operating mawejje creations, he also co-founded ‘Commune Fabric’, a platform that connects designers with sustainable textile solutions.
His work has ultimately earned him recognition in which he has received awards for the ATCG Innovation Award and the Young Climate Prize Award. As he continues to inspire and empower others, he is dedicated to sustainable practices, coupled with her unwavering belief in community upliftment.

Mawejje’s designs draw inspiration from Uganda’s rich heritage, blending traditional elements with a modern twist. His recent “Commune Fabrics” collection, crafted from recycled textile waste and banana fibers, embodies this philosophy. Each Fashion product tells a story, connecting buyers to the origins of the materials and the people behind their creation. He aims to inspire a shift towards ethical fashion, encouraging conscious consumerism and promoting sustainable practices within the industry.
