Trillion Looks store under its’ annual Afri art and fashion show has organized a fashion competition dubbed Inter University fashion Challenge. This competition is set to happen on 15th August 2025 and is open to fashion students from universities and institutes of higher learning that are pursuing Fashion, Art and design. The Inter-university Art and Fashion Challenge is a precursor event for the annual Afri art and fashion show. This pre-event is a design competition that encourages students to create innovative and sustainable fashion and art pieces inspired by culture, heritage, creativity and innovation.
Fashion schools produce most of the fashion and art designers in the market, yet they rarely have a chance to collaborate and gain exposure within the industry. The inter University fashion challenge is an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and gain exposure into an industry that will eventually accommodate them after school.The challenge features five distinct design categories: Heritage, Modernity, Eco-Fashion, Inclusive Fashion, and Urban Vs Ghetto
How to apply
- Be a student at one of the universities or schools of fashion , art and design
- Team up with your colleagues and register to participate. A team comprises of 5 people. Each designing one fashion product from the categories listed.

What to expect.
After all teams have been selected, there will be a virtual orientation meeting with the organizers to share more details about the challenge.
There will be a fashion trip to all participants selected two fashion and art businesses for inspiration and offer exposure before they start working on their pieces.

When is the event?
The inter university fashion challenge will be held on 15th August 2025 and a venue will be communicated to participants. Students have until August 10th to design and submit their work to the judges.
What will the challenge look like?
Students will design their products individually and submit it under their teams. We shall require participants to submit a final collection as a team and a detailed design portfolio in softcopy Before 15th August 2025.
On 15th August 2025, at a venue to be communicated, the Participants together with their models, will showcase their designs in a runway fashion show.
