Nakawuma Tracy, a Creative Fashion and Textile Design student at Michelangelo College of Creative Arts, was inspired to become a designer by her tailor grandmother. For her project, she’ll create a bridal or normal dress blending heritage with contemporary elements, using traditional silhouettes like bark cloth, modern cuts, beads, and nature’s colors. Tracy is deeply inspired by nature’s colors and textures, historical fashion, travel, and current trends, all fueling her vision to become a professional fashion designer.
