The 2024 Afri Art and Fashion Show was a celebration of African culture and Heritage through the lens of fashion. The event was themed “Celebrating Timeless Beauty,” emphasizing the enduring elegance and cultural significance of African fashion. The show not only celebrated the artistry of the designers but also highlighted the rich cultural heritage that inspires their work. The event showcased the work of over 15 local artisans and designers who showcased fashion and art products that highlighted the beauty in African clothing.

The show featured a captivating blend of traditional and modern elements in African fashion. The designers showcased their collections with vibrant textiles and matched them with intricate accessories. Several local revellers attended this third edition compared to other shows indicating a great appreciation of the locally produced fashion and art products by the locals.

The Guest of honor, Ms. Amy Petersen the Cultural Affairs Officer at the American Embassy graced the event and was excited to be part of the third edition in which she pledged her support towards supporting creatives in Uganda. During this event, she also commissioned her dress from one of the designers of the runway.
